Nobody likes moving especially me, so when I called Finch movers and talked with them. I was skeptical when they said they could make it painless.
When we got to our new place they unpacked everything and patiently put it away while my wife decided where everything would go.
They really did make moving painless. Thanks Finch movers.
Within 20 minutes of writing the above review I got a private call from the man I spoke to above. He asked if I wrote the above review. He then said the f word about 10 times. F my review. Why did I Fing write it? F customer service. He ended the call by saying F you you (insert a different derogatory F word for homosexuals). If your ethics have passed that of the 70s then don't use this company! Fortunately my phone records calls and I will turn this call over to a lawyer and the BBB.
They arrived on time, were fast and efficient in packing everything up. They were also careful with my wife’s china and knick-knacks (she has a lot of them).
First of all they were very slow - moving one box at a time slow. They broke the shelving in the closet and did not mention it- they actually tried to hide it by closing the closet door - until I was doing a walk through and found out. They taped my wood drawers so I had to deal with goo on my wood furniture...Just last night I was able to finally take care of my laundry room and I found a HUGE dent on top of my new dryer I bought last year. I can't post a picture here, it's pretty bad - they didn't take the wrapping off when they left.... I'm wondering if they knew they had put a dent? I will followup on this review to update all of how they decide to handle this damage.
Very poor customer service on the phone. Rude and abrupt. I'm not sure how they stay in business. I live less than 2 miles away from them and I needed two movers (no truck) to move one item down a flight of stairs. Probably 10 minutes max. Nope. 3 hour minimum. Wait. 285 dollars to move a hutch less than 100 feet? I get that it's company policy but seriously?
RUN! Don't walk!!! They are inexperienced and unethical. I've had to move 3 times during the past 2 years and they have been the worst moving company I had to deal with.
We were moving from Alpine to Lakeside and decided to go with Finch Moving. It was a little difficult to get up on the hill to our house, as we have a very steep driveway that is 400 yards long, but these guys managed to get up there. They were very careful with our stuff and furniture. Most of our furniture was custom made and bulky, but they didn't have any problems with it. Everything was packed in one truck, reasonably priced, very professional, and great service over all.
